I always believe that when people starts imitating or following something you’ve started, then perhaps I am doing something right. This can be applied to what ASUS did when they launched their first EEE PC, it became a huge success and almost all computer makers are following their road to success.

The list of potential suitors to ASUS netbook crown are growing, the list includes HP Mini-Note, MSI Wind, Acer Aspire, RedFox WizBook, Dell Ultra Mobile Inspiron and I am sure that there is more to come.

ASUS is fully aware of this developments and they’re not about to relinguish its leadership without giving a good fight. And ASUS has released its new fighter – the ASUS EEE PC 1000.

Worldwide PC shipments reached 71.9 million units in the second quarter of 2008, a 16 percent increase from the second quarter of 2007, according to preliminary results by Gartner, Inc. HP continued to maintain the No. 1 position with its worldwide PC shipment market share totaling 18.1 percent in the second quarter of 2008.

Intel Corporation and DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc. announced they have formed a strategic alliance aimed at revolutionizing 3-D filmmaking technology, beginning with Monsters vs. Aliens, which is slated for a domestic release date of March 27, 2009. Text Messaging Remains Most Important Feature for Cell Phone Buyers

The new generation of mobile phones comes with a lot of new features and innovations. TouchScreen navigation, hi-resolution cameras and screen display, big storage, animated user interface are just some of the features that we see, not to mention high prices. But no matter how complicated or hi-tech there – the answer to a product’s success is still user experience and preference.

A recent survey commissioned by AccessSystems Americas, and conducted by research firm Amplitude Research indicated that buyers of new cell phones still regard text messaging (73%) and a camera (67%) as the most important features they look for when deciding what mobile phone should they buy.
