VillMan-Acer Gaming Lounge Powered by Intel Core i7 and Windows 7 RC1 launched
Are you looking for an internet cafe that has the most powerful machines in the planet today? If your answer is yes, then your search is over. VillMan Gaming in partnership with Intel Philippines, Acer Philippines and Microsoft Philippines launched the country’s first Gaming Lounge powered by Intel Core i7 and Windows 7 RC1 – The VillMan Gaming Lounge.
Actually, not only is it the first in the country, but it is the first iCore7 powered iCafe in the whole of Southeast Asia.
If you visit the VillMan Gaming lounge, you will find 30 Acer Aspire M7720 PCs with the following configuration: 23-inch Full HD Acer LCD monitors, Acer speakers, Logitech headsets and webcams, Intel Core i7 processor, 2.66 GHz with 8MB L2 Cache, 1066 FSB and Intel X58 Chipset, ATI Radeon HD 4870 video card, 512MB P DVI/DVI/TVO ATX, Two sets of 2GB DDR3 1066MHz SDRAM, 640GB SATAII 7200 RPM, SuperMulti DVD RW with Labelflash technology, High Definition Audio with 7.1 channel surround sound support.
The lounge also has three broadband lines provided by PLDT MyDSL. Cisco was also tapped for router & switching equipment in networking the PCs. All PCs are connected to another powerful Acer machine serving as its backend server – the Acer Predator Aspire G7710.
Acer Philippines general manager Manuel Wong said the gaming lounge will allow consumers to try out the power and versatility of Acer computers – be it for the enterprise, home or for the gaming enthusiasts.
Intel Philippines country manager Ricky Banaag said the newly open Core i7 gaming zone is the best processor on the planet powered gaming lounge. “We (Intel) congratulates Acer, Microsoft and Villman for the launch of this new and exciting gaming lounge.” said Banaag.
Microsost MNA consultant Lalaine Zulueta for her part said the new Gaming Lounge will allow people to see the latest Windows 7 in action. “It is working efficiently and is ready to deliver the computing requirement of consumers” added Zulueta.
On the other hand, VillMan Computers President Manuel ‘Boyet’ Villaroman said the objective of the Gaming Lounge is really to allow people to get to try on the latest computing innovation the market has to offer.
“The gaming lounge will act as our showroom and at the same time a lab in a way. People can come and try the machines. Our fees are very affordable (Fifty pesos/hour and some pricing promotions to be announced soon), just enough to cover our operation expenses.” said Villaroman.
The new VillMan Gaming iCafé is located at the 4/f of the Cyberzone Annex Building at SM North EDSA.
